What is expiring in January 2027
Based on current listings, the following Flokk EPDs are scheduled to expire in January 2027. These are primarily office, meeting and lounge seating, plus one acoustic divider.
- RH Focus
- RBM Noor 6050
- RBM Noor 6060
- RBM Noor 6080
- RBM Noor 6085
- RBM Noor Up 6090
- RBM Noor Up 6095
- Profim REVO collection
- Profim NORMO
- OFFECCT Thelma, room divider
- OFFECCT SOUNDSTICKS
- OFFECCT Pauline, easy chair
- OFFECCT Nomole, bar stool
- HÅG Celi
- giroflex 40
Why it matters in practice. On projects that score LEED v5 points or have carbon budgets, a product without a valid, product‑specific EPD can face a penalty in calculations, so teams often shortlist only SKUs with current declarations.

What already has a fresh EPD
Two of the January items are already covered by newer declarations, which means specifiers will not lose access to verified data for those product lines.
- HÅG Celi has a renewed EPD valid through May 31, 2029. (EPD Norway, 2024)
- RH Focus has a renewed EPD valid through September 2, 2029. (EPD Norway, 2024)
Where replacements are not visible yet
At the time of writing, we did not find newer declarations for these families that specifically match the expiring SKUs listed above. That suggests a temporary data gap could open if renewals are not published before January.
- RBM Noor variants noted above
- Profim REVO collection and Profim NORMO
- OFFECCT Thelma and SOUNDSTICKS
- OFFECCT Pauline and Nomole
- giroflex 40
It is possible Flokk has renewals in flight. If so, publishing them ahead of the January window will keep specs moving without re‑approval cycles.
Likely alternatives specifiers will reach for
When an EPD lapses, buyers do not wait. They pick a comparable product with a current declaration so the model can be used in takeoffs, submittals, and carbon accounting.
- Task and desk seating. Steelcase Series 1 or Series 2, Leap, and Gesture have current EPDs with validity into 2029–2030. Haworth Fern, Soji, and Zody also carry current EPDs into 2028–2030. Humanscale Liberty Ocean is current to 2030.
- Meeting, canteen and multi‑purpose seating. Steelcase Reply and Move are broadly specified and have current EPDs. Herman Miller Mirra 2 variants are listed to 2030 in several markets.
- Acoustic screens and dividers. Abstracta AB publishes a wide slate of current EPDs across floor screens and wall panels such as Akunok Floor Screen, Lily Absorber, and Softline screens with validity into 2028–2029.
These are not endorsements of performance or comfort. They are simply the most likely substitutes with current EPDs that keep projects compliant today.
Renewal timing that keeps sales moving
Most program operators set EPD validity to five years. If the clock runs out, the declaration stops counting for credits and many public tenders until a new version is published. Planning backwards from January 2027 puts development, verification, and publication on a tight runway in the second half of 2026. (EPD Norway General Programme Instructions, 2024)

What to watch next
If renewals for the RBM Noor series, Profim lounge pieces, Offecct acoustic elements, and giroflex 40 publish on schedule, specifiers will experience a smooth handoff and uninterrupted eligibility. If they slip, expect substitution pressure toward the competitors above. The commercial fix is straightforward. Line up data collection and verification now so publication can land before January. That keeps quotes tight, avoids last‑minute value‑engineering, and actualy protects margin when carbon targets are in play.
