What expires and when
As of May 20, 2026, Autex Acoustics shows nine product EPD records with validity windows ending in January 2027. They cluster in two buckets: PET acoustic panels and polyester-based acoustic or thermal liners. By family, the expiring records cover:
- Workstation acoustic panels three separate EPD records across program entries, all expiring January 24, 2027
- Cube acoustic PET panels
- 3D Tiles acoustic PET tiles
- 3D Ceiling Tiles acoustic PET tiles for ceilings
- Quietspace acoustic panels
- GreenStuf Autex Soffit & Slab Liners (ASL)
- GreenStuf Acoustic Sound Blanket
Most of these were published through Global GreenTag program entries. Autex lists other active declarations as well, including Vertiface, Composition, and Symphony or Sordino, which face earlier sunsets in October 2026. See Autex’s product resources for context and datasheets at autexacoustics.com.
Are replacements live yet
On the date above we did not find successor EPDs for the nine January 2027 records. That means design teams planning late 2026 and early 2027 bids could lose active product-specific EPD coverage if renewals are not in motion. It sounds obvious, but renewal lead time is real and tends to collide with budget cycles or teh calender crunch near year end.

What specifiers may do if a gap appears
When a product EPD lapses, project teams that require current declarations usually pivot to close neighbors on function, not just identical materials. That can shift preferences to other acoustic ceilings or wall systems that have live EPDs on file, or to mineral wool and fiberglass blankets when acoustic liners need coverage. There is two ways forward for manufacturers. Either keep coverage unbroken by renewing on time, or risk a temporary slide off shortlists while competitors stay visible in submittals.
Likely alternatives with current EPDs
Competitors in similar use cases that currently show active declarations include the following examples. These are not endorsements, simply likely substitutes a specifier might consider when an EPD is required.
-
Acoustic ceilings and wall solutions
- Armstrong Ceiling Solutions Optima or Lyra ceiling panels with current EPDs.
- Saint-Gobain Ecophon ceiling systems with active EPDs across multiple product lines.
- Rockfon Mono Acoustic with a current program listing.
-
Acoustic or thermal blanket and board insulation
- Owens Corning PINK Next Gen Fiberglas and related blanket products with active EPDs.
- Knauf Insulation EcoBatt and Performance+ duct or blanket lines with active EPDs.
- Johns Manville mineral wool boards that carry current EPDs.
Business impact in plain language
If renewals slip, reps are forced to steer projects that care about carbon accounting toward alternatives with live declarations. That slows quotes, invites value engineering, and makes every opportunity a heavier lift. The cost to reenter a spec later can be higher than the effort to keep an EPD current in the first place.
Renewal moves that keep momentum
Start the data pull now for the 2025 reference year so LCA modeling is ready for operator review in Q3. Confirm the prevailing PCR used by your competitive set so the renewed results compare cleanly. Where product families allow, consider consolidating variants into one declaration to ease future upkeep while staying inside program rules. Pick a program operator that aligns with your primary markets and submittal norms, then lock the publication queue early.
Final word
Nine January 2027 expiries is manageable if tackled before summer ends. Treat the next eight weeks as the window to prevent a gap, so that every spec, submittal, and distributor page your customers touch still shows a live, verifiable EPD when they need it.
