What is expiring in January 2027
The following five Amrize environmental product declarations are set to expire on January 4, 2027. All are single‑ply PVC roofing membranes.
- Duro‑Last X 50‑mil PVC membrane (roll goods)
- Duro‑Last EV Fleece 60‑mil PVC membrane
- Duro‑Last 40‑mil PVC membrane
- Duro‑Tuff 50‑mil PVC membrane
- Duro‑Last EV 50‑mil PVC membrane
These cover adhered or mechanically attached low‑slope commercial systems. Think of them as the go‑to SKUs across value, fleece‑back, and X roll‑format lines.
Replacements already in market
One EPD has a direct, current replacement today. Duro‑Last EV Fleece in 60 and 80‑mil is covered by a newer declaration valid through September 29, 2028, published under Duro‑Last, Inc. That means specifiers can still cite a live EV Fleece EPD into 2028 without changing product intent.
For the other four items listed above, we did not find newer product‑specific EPDs as of May 20, 2026. If that status holds into January, those SKUs will drop out of EPD‑required shortlists until refreshed.

Will specifiers lose access to data in Q1 2027
Short answer, for four out of five SKUs, yes. Many owners and LEED v5 project teams want current, product‑specific and third‑party verified declarations for submittals. When a declaration lapses, teams often default to a comparable product that still has a live EPD rather than accept a gap or use a generic factor that can add a carbon "penalty" in calculations. That swap can happen quietly at pre‑con or during VE, long before anyone asks why the original line was dropped.
Likely alternatives with current EPDs
If the expiring Amrize declarations are not renewed on time, these PVC or KEE‑PVC competitors have valid EPDs and are commonly specified on similar assemblies:
- Sika Sarnafil S 327 or G 410 PVC membranes, multiple thicknesses, valid to mid‑July 2028.
- Johns Manville PVC SD Plus 50‑mil, valid to early February 2030.
- FiberTite KEE membranes, 45 and 60‑mil, valid to early August 2027.
All three are product‑specific, single‑ply systems targeting the same low‑slope commercial use cases. Specifers favor them when an equivalent PVC sheet with an active EPD is needed fast.
What to check before renewing
A smart renewal is not just a republish. Two quick checks keep the project on the rails.
- Confirm the current PCR used by peer products in single‑ply membranes, then align so comparisons remain apples to apples.
- Decide on the program operator and listing strategy early so the updated PDFs are easy to find by product name and thickness across public directories once approved.
Timing that avoids last‑minute scrambles
Work backwards from the January 4, 2027 date. Leave room for data pull, LCA modeling, review cycles, and operator verification. Publishing even a few weeks ahead protects bid pipelines and keeps distributor quotes clean. When teams wait, substitutions rise and margin control slips. It’s like showing up for boarding after the gate has closed, even if the plane is still right there.
Bottom line for sales and spec teams
One of the five expiring Amrize PVC membrane EPDs already has a live replacement that runs into 2028. The other four need attention now to avoid avoidable product swaps early next year. Keeping declarations current is a small lift compared to the revenue risk of being screened out on EPD‑required projects. If you own these SKUs, set the renewal in motion today so January is calm, not chaotic.
